If the analysis are correct, blog readership is shrinking. Guess it's time to come up with something a bit more intriguing or useful or controversial or ...?
Takes me back to the question posed by a friend a few years ago - asking me the intention of my blog.
Honestly, I started it simply as a writing discipline. A reason to have to write, every day, for 90 days. I wasn't sure what my 'voice' would be. No intention of a popularity contest for how many follower I could accumulate. An exercise. Simply an exercise.
Kinda like running is for me.
Put my running gear on this morning for the first time in over a year. Would be too embarrassing to share with you how far I went, or what my time was. but I did it. And honestly, a few hours later, felt really great for having done so (just don't ask how I felt at the time, or right after!).
I did it because I signed up for a 5K tomorrow morning. Yup. Been thinking about it for several weeks after seeing a sign in a window downtown. Girly girl parts 5K. Loved the name. And the poster. Thought "well, why not?" ITs' a fundraiser for Dana Farber cancer research, for ovarian cancer. Lost a dear friend to it not too many years ago. I know I can walk three miles no problem, so of course I can run this.
Means an early bedtime tonight, and early up tomorrow morning. I'm excited. And a little bit scared. Kinda like I was when I started the 90 day blog.
I'll report in tomorrow. Meanwhile - enjoy this video. The words from the song printed on the back of the tank top I bought for the race benefit.
