Several friends have experienced sudden injuries recently. An unanticipated fall. A bike accident. Or worse - a motorcycle accident.
Which has me thinking about how quickly life can change. We wake up, we go about our routine, and whammo - an unanticipated course direction change.
Most days I get out of bed assuming I will be back in it that night. But one never really knows what the day holds. There is no guarantee that I will end up back in my cozy nook to sleep soundly tonight.
Makes it all the more important to be mindful to each present moment. Notice the sky. Hear the wind through the trees. Smile at a stranger. Say thank you. Or I love you.
Yup - gonna go all churchy on 'ya again.

Today - this moment - is the one you have to live. Employ it to the fullest. And be grateful.
