Day 39 - the calm AFTER the storm

9/1/2016

Light rain off and on today - then the sun came out.  I love it when the weather rolls with my emotions!

Last night - upside down.  Tonight - after talking God's ear off all day long-  rightside up again. And peaceful.

I know there are those of you reading this saying, "Oh - there's that God stuff again.  What's up with that girl?"

My response is simply that I KNOW - especially on days like today and yesterday - that God is real.  Not necessarily the white bearded dude up north (I think that's Santa Claus) - but a real, divine force in my life that catches me when I fall, loves me, and helps me turn right side up again.

Just my world as I see it, feel it, experience it.

Love you all.

Hey Mimi! Your name came up in a conversation with several old (uh, gold, not old!) CC friends I was fortunate to hang out with last night after singing a little concert for my mom's people...anyway, it was "So what do you think about Mimi's suddenly talking about her faith?" (I being one who cannot stop talking about my love for and from God). I admit I haven't been stumbling across your posts for a while, so knew nothing about that, but was happy to hear this and came to read. It's truly different, waking up to the fact that our Creator made us for relationship with Himself (pardon the pronoun; the Bible translation becomes part of my vocabulary but does not adequately describe God as I imagine, as you yourself said so well.) Belonging completely to God has been a series of deaths, a ton of disciplining coming seemingly out of nowhere at times, lots and lots of rejection from people whose opinion of me I valued, and having to say no to things and people I loved dearly because I love God more, but oh the LIFE, the LIGHT, and the constant joy of being lifted out of the pits I stumble into in order to continue on this exciting (never boring) journey of increasing intimacy with God. Wish I could get up there and chat with you face to face one of these days. Or get you to meet up with us girls from CC someday. But plenty of time in heaven!
