Day 53 - pick one

Through the course of the day today I held several different ideas on what tonight's blog might be.  Many choices.  And now, at 10:08pm, I need to pick one.

So I think I will go with... the topic of choices.

Choices about how we spend our time.  What we do with our work time.  And our play time.  Chocies about who we spend our time with, or perhaps just spend time alone.  Where to go.  What to see.  What to do.  And who to do it with.

Sometimes choices are made for us.  Not always to our liking.  But if we trust in the process of life, it's ok.

Tonight I hosted a gathering in the gallery of six creative women.  One I met at the beach just a few days ago, a random meeting at a beach I hadn't been to all summer.  The other four were friends of hers, all sharing the desire to do more creative "stuff" in their lives.

She invited me to join the group.  I offered my gallery space as a gathering place.  And tonight, I now have five new lovely women friends, aging from age 23 to 57.  Pretty cool stuff. 

Coming together simply because on a day that I was feeling lonely and a little blue I decided to stop by a different beach on the way home for a nap in the sun, and she was there with her dogs, and we started a conversation.  That turned into five new friends.

We never know what lovely joy awaits in our next "random" choice.
