Day 57 - moving through a slump

A friend asked me tonight how the blog is going.  She's been ill and not reading.  i replied, "I'm feeling uninspired."  A lot of topics I would like to write about but I fear they may be too deep and/or too personal. 

As I started to write this, I was reminded of that time that often occurs in the midst of the creative process.  It's a little over halfway.  Happens in paintings all the time.  The initial excitement of a new beginning is past.  And the end isn't yet in sight.  It's a creative slump.  Not that there isn't anything to do, more like I just don't feel like it.

It's NOT writer's block.  I don't believe in such a thing.  It's more about discernment.

The question isn't "what can I write?"  It's "what is important to write?"

I don't know that I have the answer in me tonight.  Going to pray on it.  Ask for direction as to where to go next.  And see what comes through.

Funny - I just took a quick look through my bookmarks for a piece of music to share with you and found this. I don't even remember hearing it before this.
